"This is a picture I took while waiting in line for the Indiana Jones ride at Disneyland. I like it because the sunlight reflects a red color in a floral type pattern. It brings out the individual leaves in the trees as they open up to the sun."

October Contest

Welcome October! This month is full of some spooky inspiration, sure to get those creative juices flowing! The literary mag is holding it's first monthly contest, and guess what? You can win a 25$ gift card! Now that is pretty awesome if I say so. Just submit to westjordanlitmag@gmail.com with the submission form and mention it's for the monthly contest. There's not a particular theme but since it's October, why not write up a scary story or a halloween inspired art piece?

Reflections

Hey jags! Still don't know what your art piece is going to be about? Maybe consider entering it into the PTA's reflections! This year's theme is "Believe, Dream, Inspire". It is known that most people who enter reflections win some sort of prize. So why not double up and submit to both the literary mag and reflections?

NEW PAGES

Hey, hey, hey!

If you haven't noticed yet, you're bound to notice now! We've added 2 new pages to our blog which is going to help you all out by a long run. The first is a Submit Page which gives you the official submission form for our Lit Mag. Just plop it on your computer, or print it out, and after filling out the required lines attach it to your submission (email or other) and turn it in. How easy and simple is that? It takes two steps either way.

The second page is an Inspiration Page. The Inspiration Page is bound to gain more and more bits of inspiration as time goes on, so if you have anything inspiring you'd like to share, let us know! If you need some funny prompts, a good quote, or something to get those creative juices flowing head on over and see if anything tickles your fancy. Who knows what can inspire you?
